Using the library
Every asset here is built to land in a HiveCPQ 3D configurator without cleanup: strict glTF, packed textures, a fixed material structure and a web-safe budget. Here is the path from a sample on the shelf to a spinning product in your configurator.
What you get
Pick any asset and you receive it in the exact shape a Verge3D / glTF runtime expects. Nothing to rebuild, nothing to guess at.
Each asset ships as a Blender Asset-Browser entry, a validated .glb, the raw textures, and a metadata record. Every material passes an automated glTF structural check before it is published, so what you preview is what renders in the browser.
The workflow
ConfigureWise builds configurators on HiveCPQ with Verge3D. The library slots into that pipeline at the material and dressing stage.
-
Browse and pick
Find the look in the library: a RAL powder coat, brushed metal, a filament, tinted glass. Inspect it in 3D, note the id (for example
powdercoat_ral7016), and request the assets you need. -
Drop the material onto your model
Open your product model in Blender and drag the material from the Asset Browser onto the relevant parts. Because the node structure is fixed and web-safe, no re-authoring is required. Hardware and profiles can be appended as ready meshes.
-
Export through Verge3D
Export the scene with the Verge3D glTF exporter. The materials are designed to survive that export losslessly: one shared image for metallic-roughness and occlusion, an explicit alpha mode, no runtime-only nodes.
-
Upload to HiveCPQ
Compress the export to the Hive delivery format (
.glb.xz, kept under 20 MB) and upload it to the configurator's visual settings. Your product now renders in the HiveCPQ 3D configurator with production-grade materials. -
Wire it to the configuration
Bind material and colour choices to HiveCPQ selector variables so a shopper's selections change the model live (see below). Attach a warning decal, toggle an indicator light, swap a finish.
Runtime switching in HiveCPQ
The web-safe rule pays off at runtime. Instead of rebuilding shaders in the browser, a HiveCPQ configurator swaps between prebuilt materials, colours and textures on the model, driven by the shopper's selections.
A RAL colour selector changes the body finish; a material dropdown switches stainless to powder coat; a checkbox toggles an emissive indicator. All of it is a lightweight material or texture swap, so it stays fast on mobile.
Because every material in the library follows the same structure, they are interchangeable at runtime: point the configurator at a different library material and it just works. This is exactly the pattern ConfigureWise ships in production configurators today.

Getting the assets
The library is maintained by ConfigureWise. Tell us which assets you need for your HiveCPQ configurator and we will get them to you, or help wire them into your configuration.
